does this sound like you?Let me guess.
Writing isn't your problem.
But even if it was — all over "BusinessLand" there's help for words.
But design?
Well, that’s just between you and Canva.
And when the two of you meet up, the pattern is familiar.
Why does this look like a thesis pasted onto a rectangle?
Why did this template stop working the second the fonts changed?
How did one Instagram post take four days to make?
In a small business you're the designer on call— on top of everything else.
Nobody asked if you wanted that role.
Nobody trained you for it.
But here you are.
Here's what nobody tells you though: design— like writing— is also a skill.
And if you're struggling it's because most business spaces never teach you how it actually works.
The advice starts and stops with find templates, use your favorite colors, pick a couple fonts, get a logo, just be more you.
What's missing is the foundation underneath.
→Templates don't teach you how to tell a design issue from a messaging one.
→Your favorite colors might not support people buying in your online shop.
→And "just be more you" doesn't help if you don't know how your work is being received.
Without the foundation, designing turns into moving things around until exhaustion wins.
That's what the Brand Crafting Studio changes.
If that's what's been missing — let's get visual.
what transforms?before the studio. After the studio
BEFORE— hours on something that still feels off. Visuals that feel pieced together. Publishing with a knot in your stomach.
AFTER— faster decisions, a brand that feels cohesive and recognizably yours. You know when something works and you can fix it yourself.
OVER TIME— a visual voice that's unmistakably you. Weird and specific and impossible to scroll past.
YOU DON’T GUESS ANYMORE. YOU KNOW.

the nitty gritty.The Details:
⚡Two 90-minute Group Studio Hours every month on Zoom
Bring whatever you're working on— a post, a sales page, a graphic that's been driving you crazy. We work through it together in real time. These sessions are shaped entirely by what members bring.
→ 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month: 10-11:30 am PST
⚡One monthly Brand Building Workshop on Zoom
Focused, structured sessions where we build your brand design intentionally— one layer at a time. Not a rebrand sprint. A steady build that happens while you're still showing up, still posting, still serving your people.
→ 2nd Tuesday of each month: 10-11:30 am PST
⚡Real-time Slack support between sessions
When you're in the middle of something and need a quick read — Slack is there. Weekday responses typically within a couple of hours.

Peek INsideWhat actually happens?
This is a hands-on collaborative space so you aren’t getting theoretical advice to go try and apply later. We workshop through your challenges and questions in real time.
You show up with something you're working on— a carousel that isn't flowing, a sales page section that feels off, a graphic you've been tweaking for an hour without knowing why.
We start asking helpful questions.
→Who is this for and what do they already know about you?
→What is the one thing this design needs to do?
→Where does your eye go first — and is that where it should go?
Somewhere in that conversation (usually faster than you'd expect) you start to see how to redesign it yourself.
You can play with it and make edits in real time.
We compare versions.
You start to understand your own visual logic — the way your words, colors, and images work together to say something specific to a specific person.
That understanding travels with you into every design you make after this one.
A hired designer can make something beautiful for you.
Giving you the instinct to do it yourself is a different thing entirely.

What members say
"I'd pretty much given up on having brand visuals that felt like me. Now I'm not only in love with my visuals, I'm also super confident in my ability to create and update my visuals all on my own!”
— Lauren Elizabeth, Lauren elizabeth coaching
“The gathering, the community, the instruction, the encouragement that met me where I was. All faves.
— L.A, Bookstore Owner & Therapist
“I’ve been learning something in addition to how to design that’s much more important. How to trust my creative voice.”
— anonymous
Meet your GuideI didn't come to brand design through a corporate agency or a marketing firm.
My background is pure art.
Since graduating from art school 30 years ago I've been the go-to for friends and collaborators who needed logos, band tees, album covers, websites, flyers — you name it.
For me design is about expression and connection — not trickery in a sleek suit.
Inside the Studio I don't tell you what your brand should look like.
I ask questions until you can see it yourself.
The goal isn't a finished graphic. It's the instinct to make the next one better than the last — and the one after that.
I teach design to people who don’t think of themselves as “good at design.”
Not so everything looks “prettier”.
(Although that does happen.)
But so design stops feeling frustrating and starts feeling intentional.
build your visual identity. The brand building workshop series
Coming this summer— a monthly workshop series focused on building your brand design intentionally in a way that supports the business you're already running.
We start with clarity. What you're trying to say, who you're trying to reach, how you want to be recognized.
Then we shape it visually so your design choices actually support that direction.
You won't disappear and come back with a whole new look that shocks your audience. You'll evolve it and test it while you're still showing up— steady and intentional rather than dramatic and disorienting.
Studio members get first access and full details as they're announced.

What didn’t we cover?FAQ’s
Who runs the sessions — is it you or the community?
I run every session personally. Studio Hours are us working through your specific designs together in real time. The Brand Building Workshops are me teaching and building alongside you. Other members are in the room and their perspectives add value — but I'm there every time, for every member's work.
How does a typical Studio Hour actually work?
You show up with something you're working on — a carousel, a sales page section, a graphic that isn't clicking. I ask questions to get clear on what the design needs to do and who it's for. We work through it together — trying options, comparing versions, making edits in real time. You leave with a stronger design and a clearer understanding of why it's stronger. That understanding carries into everything you make after.
Do I need to have taken Design Like Butter first?
It's a great entry point into the framework we use — but it's not required. If you're doing your own design work and want real feedback from someone who knows what they're looking at, you're ready for the Studio.
How many people are in the group? Maximum 8 members. That's a firm cap. It exists so everyone's work gets real attention every session.
Do I need to know how to use Canva? Basic familiarity with whatever design tool you use is helpful. This isn't a software tutorial — it's design thinking applied to your actual work. The framework works in any tool.
Will sessions be recorded?
Yes. All sessions are recorded and saved. Can't make a session? Watch it after. Come to everything or use just what serves you.
Is this really worth $89/month?
If you're spending four hours on one Instagram post and still not sure if it's working — one Studio session will change that. The goal isn't just better designs this month. It's building the instinct to make better designs faster, with more confidence, every time. That compounds. $89 for that is genuinely reasonable.

You've figured out so much about running this business on your own.
Design has been the thing that stays hard. The thing that eats more time than it should and still leaves you uncertain when you hit publish.
The Studio is where that changes.
Your work. My eyes. A small group of business owners doing the same thing.
Let's get visual.
